Mr. Blankenship is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Verde Realty. Verde Realty is a real estate investment trust focused on industrial distribution properties.
Prior to joining Verde Realty, he was Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Security Capital Group Incorporated, a publicly held international real estate operating and investment management company. Security Capital had controlling interests in 18 public and private, fully integrated real estate operating companies with a total market capitalization of over $26 billion. Eight of the companies were listed on the NYSE. In May 2002 Security Capital was sold to GE Capital Corporation.
Before joining Security Capital, Mr. Blankenship was a Regional Partner at Trammel Crow Residential. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and President of Office Development for Mischer Corporation, a Houston-based real estate development company. He is currently a Director of Regency Centers Corporation and has also been a Director for Archstone Communities Trust, Belmont Corp., ProLogis, CarrAmerica, and Storage USA.
A graduate of the University of Texas, Austin, Mr. Blankenship is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Dressler oversees investment activity, including acquisitions, development, dispositions, and specific strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Verde Realty, Mr. Dressler was Principal and Chief Acquisition Officer-Urban Funds and a member of the Investment Committee at MacFarlane Partners, which he joined in 2003. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Dressler owned and managed International Marine, a manufacturing company based in Los Angeles, California.
Between 1992 and 2000, Mr. Dressler was with Security Capital Group in a number of senior level positions. Mr. Dressler was a Managing Director of Security Capital Group/Southwest Realty and a Director of Security Capital Pacific Retail Trust between 1992 and 1997. Mr. Dressler was Co-Chairman/President/Chief Investment Officer of Homestead Village Incorporated from 1997 to 2000. Prior to joining Security Capital Group, Mr. Dressler was a Regional Management Partner at Trammell Crow Residential.
Mr. Dressler earned a BA degree from Yale University as well as an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Garcia has been with the Company since 2004. Mr. Garcia’s primary responsibility is the oversight of industrial leasing activities in the United States and Mexico. Prior to joining Verde Realty, Mr. Garcia was a Vice President at Cambridge Realty Partners.
Mr. Garcia holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
John Dillon - Vice President,
Development
Mr. Dillon’s primary area of responsibility is construction management and acquisition due diligence. In this capacity, Mr. Dillon has overseen the development of industrial space in the U.S. and Mexico including multiple build-to-suit projects for manufacturing clients. Mr. Dillon has over twenty years experience in commercial real estate with his primary area of expertise being the development of distribution and transportation related facilities.
Mr. Dillon holds a BS in Agricultural Economics and an MA in Economics, with a minor in Accounting from NMSU. He is a licensed CPA and a member of the AICPA.
Jim McLaughlin - Vice President,
Acquisitions
Mr. McLaughlin joined Verde in 2006 as a Market Officer and is currently Vice President of Acquisitions. He functioned as the National Director of Business Development until 2009.
Mr. McLaughlin has a long record of industrial experience. Prior to joining Verde, Mr. McLaughlin spent twelve years with Cushman Realty Corporation as a Senior Director and was part of the team that merged with Cushman & Wakefield in 2001. While at Cushman, he was involved in acquisitions, dispositions, lease negotiations, and debt financing for over 20 million square feet of industrial and office space and accomplished 17 major build-to-suit projects.
Mr. McLaughlin attended Ohio State University majoring in Finance.
Henry Lichtman - Vice President,
Property Management
Mr. Lichtman joined Verde in 2011 as Vice President and Director of Property Management. In his current role, Mr. Lichtman is responsible for directing the property management function for Verde's wholly-owned, joint venture and third party managed real estate properties in the U.S. and Mexico.
Mr. Lichtman has more than twenty-one years experience in the commercial real estate industry, including significant experience overseeing industrial real estate. Prior to joining Verde Realty, Mr. Lichtman held executive positions with Weingarten Realty, Macerich Company and The Irvine Company.
Mr. Lichtman holds a Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the University of California.
Shawn Warren - Chief Accounting Officer &
Vice President, Finance
Having joined Verde Realty in 2011 as the Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of Finance, Mr. Warren oversees the accounting and tax functions at Verde Realty. Prior to joining Verde, Mr. Warren was a Senior Manager in Deloitte's Real Estate Services Group, primarily serving public REIT clients in the Southeast region.
Mr. Warren earned his BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada and received a Real Estate Certificate from the University of Wyoming. He holds an MBA from the University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mary Jane Anderson- Treasurer &
Vice President, Finance
As Treasurer and Vice President of Finance, Ms. Anderson manages all treasury operations, cash management, financial planning, and risk management at Verde Realty. Prior to joining Verde in 2005, Ms. Anderson was Assistant Treasurer at Hudson Advisors LLC (The Lone Star Funds), in Dallas, Texas where she was responsible for the hedging portfolio, cash management and the lines of credit.
Ms. Anderson holds a BA from Austin College and an MBA from the University of Dallas.
Ms. Cox oversees all human resources, compliance, and investor relations activities. Prior to joining Verde Realty in 2004, Ms. Cox was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for EPT Management Company, a privately-held real estate operating and investment management company of multifamily real estate. Between January 1997 to March 2003, Ms. Cox was the Vice President of Human Resources for Security Capital Group.
Ms. Cox holds a BA degree in Psychology, an MBA, and Ph.D. in Business from New Mexico State University.
